Developing my Teaching Philosophy

From the very beginning of our Methods Course FLT 807, Dr. Amanda Lanier cautioned our student cohort that writing a teaching philosophy is not to be taken lightly. She said that our teaching philosophy would change by the time we completed the MAFLT program because our knowledge and experiences would change. She was right.

My Teaching Philosophy expresses my firm beliefs and opinions about teaching Japanese language. These beliefs are continually being shaped by my teaching experiences and continual quest for knowledge in the foreign language teaching discipline.
