My MAFLT Experiential Modules Course was the final capstone project of the program. The project is a process of decisionmaking and time management. The course is designed so that students select a project that aligns with the program guidelines. I chose to engage in action research to determine the effective methods to accommodate students with dyslexia.
I was inspired by my teaching experience with a dyslexic student. Our classroom interaction, trial and error approaches resulted in discovery of materials, methods, and approaches that were consistently effective. Teachers may be helped most by the Q & A List and other documents provided in the appendix of the Exploratory Paper. Also included are suggested materials that have proven to be useful.
